It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Julie Jones. She was a very much loved wife, daughter, sister, friend and colleague. Julie was kind, compassionate and deeply caring, with an unwavering commitment to patient care. An exceptional leader in Kent and Medway, she brought clarity, strength and humanity to everything she did, and was greatly valued by all who worked alongside her. Julie will be deeply missed by family, colleagues, system partners, and friends, and by all those whose lives she touched.

Cannot believe we have lost such a wonderful person so suddenly. Loved working with Julie when i joined EKHUFT as the ICB UEC Improvement Director. She was just so knowledgeable, never panicked and loved that smile!!! We will miss you so much pal and sure the whole QEQM team will say the same!

So sorry Derek and family, I haven't stopped thinking of Julie since I heard last weekend. I have so many fond memories of our days together in OCC at Qeqm. I worked for a couple of years with Julie and we quickly developed a close working relationship and I'm so grateful she put her faith in me and made me her Matron. I learnt so much in that time and felt constantly supported. I missed that beautiful Welsh voice at Qeqm for a long time so when I was on one of my first on calls and had to ring the ICB and I heard that lovely voice again I instantly felt well supported again. Thank you for everything Julie. You really did manage to work operationally and keep the site running but whilst doing it you never forgot the patient at the centre of it. The best of nurses and managers. You will be missed xx

God, where do i start? I was so saddened and speechless when I was told about your tragic passing on Saturday. I have thought about you often since you left and now could kick myself for not picking up the phone .... i am so very sorry chick. I worked with you since you started as a Matron, but it was the OCC years that really cemented our friendship, both at WHH & QEQM (you did have a tendency to bounce between the two for a while there chick). You were always so open and honest, offering support and friendship freely and never asking for anything in return .... apart from maybe the odd 'flat white' from Costa. We shared up's & down's, frustrations & celebrations and even managed to take the mickey out of Swindelli once or twice. Thank you for going in with Sarah S to buy me a Shepherds Neame Brewery Tour for my 50th birthday (loved that .... from what i can remember). Heaven has definitely gained a huge hearted angel in you darling. Love to you, love to your family and God Bless xxxxxx

I was so shocked and upset to hear of Julie's passing. Julie was fantastic fun and so helpful and knowledgeable but more than that just an all round lovely person and always had time for you. She is going to be missed so much by friends and colleagues alike - my sincere condolences to her family at this terrible time.
