Zakariya Waqar-Uddin

I was in the same class as Zak at school in Manchester in 1992/93. We were not best friends but we were friends and I remember going to the cinema with him and another friend to watch Home Alone 2, which he loved and was laughing along to. He also came back to my house for a playdate one day. I remember him having a big smile, a good sense of humour and he was bright and kind. I hope you are at peace Zak. Sincere condolences to the family.

Really sad to read this. Zak and I were SHOs in Middlesbrough together. We hit it off straight away and went through some tough times together but also some great fun times too and I crashed over at his flat several times. I remember a cheeky sparkle in his eyes back then and he had a wonderful sense of humour. I moved to Australia and we kept in touch from time to time - the last time in 2023. I’ll always remember him as that SHO with a cheeky smile that always made my day better. Rest in peace my friend.

Deepest condolences to the family. He was a really good GP, especially to me and my friend who were under his supervision for uni placements there. He taught us so much and was always very helpful. May he rest in peace.
