It is with great sadness that the family of Tony Roberts announce his passing on March 2nd, 2022 in Victoria, BC. He was born on August 14, 1976 in Kimberly, BC. Tony will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jillian, parents Steve and Edna, and siblings Neil and Heather, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Tony spent his childhood and teenage years growing up in Campbell River, BC. There, he excelled in swimming and rugby. He graduated from Robron Secondary in 1994 and moved to Victoria shortly after where he became a journeyman electrician earning his red seal certification. Tony was a proud father and loved very much by his family and friends. His contagious laugh, twinkle in his eye and the way he filled a room will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Olympic View Golf Club, 643 Latoria Rd, Victoria, BC on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tony to the United Way Mental Health and Addictions, to help the homeless, may be made here: uwsvi.ca/donate/ and/or bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Celebration. Tony only, Junior here. Working with you and driving around in that smoke filled van chatting for those couple of years were my favorite as an electrician. You were also my favorite teacher. I am certain that those years had the biggest impact on what kind of electrician I was going to be, what kind of person I was going to be. You were harsh but only because you cared so much. You demanded the best anyone was capable of helping them reach their potential. I'm sorry I wasn't there to celebrate you but I think about you often and carry bits of what I learned from you forever. I miss you man.

Dear family and friends, I would like to express my deepest condolences and thoughts for the entire Roberts extended family. Tony, to me was a true friend and brother. In the trade he was a ahead of me in electrical experience but we shared a special friendship as Electricians of a similiar age and energy. He was a tremendously hard worker and together we knew we could get any job done. I have a special spot in my heart for Tony and will never forget our time together. I will honor him going forward in my life and all his fellow brothers do the same. RIP Tony. Swonny and Snubby Love ya Fella!

I am saddened to hear Tony has passed away. He was a mentor to me when I worked at Houle and under all that (at times) tough exterior, was a caring guy who was just trying look out for everyone's best interest. His sense of humour and no Sh*ts given attitude will be sorely missed. RIP Tony.

We were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Tony. I knew him since we were kids in CR and always enjoyed him being around hanging with Steve. We were lucky enough to have him around our place in Victoria too, listening to he and Steve in the back yard chatting and giggling away. We’ll miss you Tony… see you on the other side. My deepest condolences to Tony’s family for your loss. Tony’s humour, one liners and passion for life will never be forgotten. No matter how much time had passed when our paths crossed we just picked up where we left off and always had a great laugh. He was smart, funny and a great electrician who help guide me in the career I have now. I’ll miss him and the worlds a little quieter without him. Good bye for now my friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. Before COVID 19 became known, Tony and I both had it. We were both proud to have survived it . Tony was and is a special person, a gift to those who knew him. We lost a good person. My sympathies to the family.
