Thorsten Rheinländer

I am very sad to hear about Thorsten's passing. He was such a kind, caring and warm person, I can't believe we won't talk to each other anymore. I will miss him.

Very sorry to hear these sad news. Thorsten was a gifted, kind and thoughtful colleague who will be dearly missed.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Professor Dr. Thorsten Rheinländer. Some of us had the privilege of being taught by him during our studies at TU Vienna, while others knew him through his affiliations with the FAM research unit or his contributions to the field of mathematical finance. We would like to express our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Very sad and shocking news. Beyond his work-related contributions, I will remember Thorsten for his very calm and kind presence.

I remember Thorsten since my days as a PhD student, reading his papers on mean-variance hedging and happily discussing research with him through the years. Even in his untimely loss, he leaves many grateful alumni who will ensure that his scientific legacy endures.

Such engaging deep and ligth discussions on the many topics of mathematics and beyond. All these will be dearly rememberd and surely misssed. My condolences to the closest family, friends, and colleagues.

Very sad news. A warm a kind colleague that always made people feel well, who contributed always to a nice athmosphere. I will miss his toughts (always deep, respectful, and inteligent) about society and life, as well as his quiet presence. He has had a positive impact in our lifes, that will remain for ever.
