Reuben Renwick Raphael

As the leader of one of the oldest and strongest families in the church in Trinidad, Brother Raphael has played a key role in strengthening and fellowshipping our family. He will always be remembered as a faithful and stalwart disciple of Jesus Christ and a great friend and brother to us. Rest in peace, until we meet again at Jesus' feet. On behalf of the Camejo family, we express our deepest sympathy to his precious loved ones. We love and pray for you always.

Crystal Camejo : A man with a beautiful spirit who have contributed significantly to the woman that I am today. From the tender age of 5 you wore so many hats in my life, Ecclesiastical leaders, uncle, guide, influencer and my rescue. I appreciate this family so much because they have stood the test of time with me and continues to do so. I am reminded even viewing this service today, the importance of service in this life and the impact you can have in the lives of other. I love you Brother Raphael and thank you for all that you did for me and the entire Camejo family.

I’m sorry for your loss and send my blessing to the Raphael family. I was also one of the many missionaries that President Raphael impacted. What an amazing smile and laugh he had. He was a great example of dedication with his endless service. I am sad to hear of his passing.

My sincere condolences to the Raphael family. I knew Ruben as the Branch President when I was serving a mission in Trinidad. I loved working with him as the branch grew. He was a loving leader who gave everything to help others. When I returned to Trinidad 20 years later it was a joyous reunion. We caught up and it was almost as if no time had passed. I know that he is with our Savior and working with people on the other side. My prayers and thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. I remember his warm smile and friendship. Until we meet again.

My heart is very heavy, this is one of the most difficult things I have to do in my life; write a condolence for Reuben. Words cannot express the way I’m feeling with this loss. Reuben had a big part to play in the woman I am today. As a teenager I spent time living with the Raphael’s and I could not be more grateful for everything they did for me. Both Reuben and Leslie Ann helped to shape my mind and set me on a path that helped shape my future. Reuben is like a father to me, Leslie Ann like a mother, and of course Nejma is my sister. The Bible says count your blessings and three of mine are mentioned above. I have no doubt in my mind that heaven gained and Angel and someday we will meet again in glory. You will forever be in thoughts. Love Tarrin

My condolences go out to the Raphael family. Reuben will always be remembered by me as, a Friend, "dedicated" home teacher from 1992 and after joining the church 25+ years, baptized by him, a week later, an assistant "lost/fledgeling" clerk to him and God. His words of comfort was "Qui" the Lord's work now start for you fear not the Lord will always be there to guide and I will always be here to help. Rest in peace my friend, teacher, bishop until we meet again.
