Philip Bentall

I was fortunate to work in the same office as Phil for a number of years and found him to be a kind, generous and thoughtful man. He never met a topic he didn't know everything about and it was always a great learning experience when having a chat in the kitchen or down the pub. It is devastating to have lost him so suddenly and at such a young age and I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for his family. My deepest condolences at this terrible time.

I cannot express my shock and deep sadness when I heard the news; it should have never happened to Phil, the 'great guy' - positive, patient and brilliant to work with. You will be greatly missed and remembered! RIP Phil

My sympathies go to Phil's family in honour of a colleague who was always described as "a great guy". He was a valued member of our team and was always a pleasure to work with. He will be sorely missed. RIP Philip.

So sorry about the loss of Phil at such a young age. Sat next to him for many years and he never got my tea wrong. I enjoyed our beer chats…Cricket perhaps no so much, but it was his passion. He knew his VIOP from his non VOIP. My condolences to the family at this terrible time.

Am deeply saddened to learn of Phil's passing. Phil always provided a good, unfailingly patient, sounding board for my work questions as well as numerous comic interludes / cricket stats etc. His PM skills were always put to good use on the social activities from which many of us benefited. He will be greatly missed and I will always remember him fondly. My thoughts are with his family.

I was shocked and saddened hearing that Phil passed away. I've known Phil since I joined the Technology department in 2014. Phil was incredibly kind, friendly and always had time for others. He was also extremely good at his job and I always looked up to him. My thoughts are with Phil's family during this difficult time.

What a shock, RIP Phil. Not only was Phil a well respected PM but his contribution to the Epsom office was so much more than that. He organised Xmas meals; Friday lunch club; Guildford beer festival attendance for the team; the legendary biscuit club; and, during lockdown, Friday end of day video calls to help improve team morale. He frequently bamboozled me with with his vast knowledge of Cricket and Game of Thrones plots/characters. He will be sorely missed.
