Phil was the husband of Becky for 30 years. During this time, they had two daughters, Megan and Lauren, who are now married and live around the corner from Phil and Becky. In January 2023, Phil became a Grampy to his first granddaughter. Phil was one of the Elders at North Swindon Baptist Church and was loved by many. He served Jesus until his final breath, as a Christian and follower of Jesus, we know Phil is in Heaven with our Lord and Saviour.

Phil is a strong man of God who leaves a such a powerful testimony and legacy to all who love Jesus (as well as those yet to encounter Him). Phil's commitment to serving the Lord is inspiring, and was done consistently in such an unassuming way over the years. In my experience a big man who had a big presence, a voice that carried and a ferocious laugh that could be heard streets away. Phil liked brevity and didn't often mince his words in pursuit of getting a task done. A man who would as easily tell it straight as much as put an arm around you. Deepest gratitude for the time we served together from Friday nights through to full time ministry at Swindon Night Shelter. I often heard Phil pray for a hedge of protection (Job 1), we pray that earnestly for you all Davison family, (church family and close friends) at such a sad time. Lord strengthen and comfort you all.

We remember Phil as a man who ‘leaked’ Jesus in every situation. The fragrance of Jesus’ love and compassion went with him. We think of those amazing early days as Street Pastors. Phil and Becky chatting with the revellers and sharing Jesus. Then leading on to starting Night Shelter. Phil was not just a man to see a need but skilled to start a ministry to meet that need in Jesus name. Happy memories of Phil laughing and eating! So very sad. Grateful to know he is with Jesus for eternity.
