It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of my dad. I have tried many times to find the correct words; all of them uninspiring in comparison to what he deserves. To have known my dad was to know true compassion, kindness and empathy. He was the epitome of work ethic and dedication. He was loyal to a fault. His unwavering conviction of life was contagious to those who met him. Let's hold on to that. Let's remember him as the guy who made you laugh with a bad dad joke or an inappropriate one that most likely was filling an awkward silence. Lets remember him as the guy that would give you the shirt off his back even if he wasnt wearing one. Let's remeber him as the guy who had all the answers even if you weren't asking the questions. Let's remember him through his proudest moments of life: transitioning from dad to papa, building his dream home, retirement from a job held for 40 years and so many others!
