Pamela Cummins

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Pamela. She taught me so much on Sapphire ward. She was so supportive and had such a nice way with the patients. I always noticed she never took a break but ensured everyone else got theirs. My sincere condolences to her family.

Like everybody i am saddened and shocked to hear this very sad news. I worked with Pam when Sapphire was an admissions ward. It was a big Sapphire family and we helped each other. I always bumped into Pam for a natter at the bus stop on the way home . The Iast time i think before Christmas and she was her usual cheerful self. A truly lovely lady who i for one will never ever forget.

Rest on dear Pam, you will be missed dearly. ❤️

Pam was so calm and had the willingness to support colleagues, patients and their families. Pam was a team player. Colleagues could crack jokes with her and laugh with her. I remember when I moved to Sapphire ward as a band 6 nurse Pam was always there to support. Pam always smiles when you ask her for support. Pam used to bring treats to the ward. Pam will always make sure that things are done before she leaves the ward. Even when I was moved to Emerald ward Pam will come to me on Emerald ward for us to go for break together. Pam was a Tottenham supporter. When there was a football match between asernal & Tottenham, Pam will always have a discussion with asernal supporters. I can’t imagine that you are gone forever. You are already missed. Rest in perfect peace Pam, till we meet again.

I met Pamela when she came to work on Ruby's ward. She was very hardworking, and kind and made a lot of impact on all the people she came across both staff and patient. C & I have lost an incredible person. May her soul rest in peace and may God Almighty continue to comfort the people she's left behind.

Pam, you leave an incredible legacy, having touched so many hearts in your career. I have so many memories of you as a talented, gentle, tenacious, wise, and kind nurse with a heart of gold and generosity with your time and attention for everyone. We did many home visits together and I was privileged to see your extraordinary ability to connect with patients no matter how ill they were, and to play a crucial role in their care. For me as a colleague you were a ray of light in my working life.

I am still struggling to believe that you have passed. Dear Pam, you were always there for your colleagues, your patients and your trainees! Very calm, always willing to help, no task or request would be too big or too small for you. You always offered solutions, insight and demonstrated what a great colleague you were! You made working on Sapphire enjoyable. You also liked a challenge (as if Sapphire was not enough) and you moved to PICU, came back to the Covid ward and then moved to the community where I last saw you in November/December 2024. I still cannot believe that I will not see you by your desk when I walk into the NIRRT office. Your family should be very proud of you and I hope you rest in peace knowing that you have touched and helped so many souls during your career! Something we will also continue to aspire to do! You are terribly missed already!

I am truly heartbroken to hear about Pam’s passing. She was one of the kindest, strongest, and most supportive people I’ve ever had the privilege to work with. I met Pam as a newly qualified nurse 10 years ago, I was incredibly lucky to have her by my side - guiding me, encouraging me, and showing me what it really meant to care, not just for patients but for colleagues as well. Pam always put patients at the heart of everything she did and made sure every member of staff felt valued, comfortable, and supported. She had a way of looking out for everyone, ensuring their wellbeing with genuine compassion. Her leadership, kindness, and unwavering dedication made her completely irreplaceable - there truly is no one else like her. She was also one of the most loving and non-judgmental people I’ve ever known, always lifting others up. And, of course, we could never forget her passion for football, especially her beloved Tottenham, which she never let us Arsenal fans live down! Pam was not just an incredible nurse but an incredible person, known and loved by so many, including the patients whose lives she touched. There wasn’t a single bad word that could be said about her, and that speaks volumes. They simply don’t make them like her anymore. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. My thoughts are with her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she brightened.
