Ohale, popularly known as Orlando Martins, was a loving husband and Father. Generous almost to a fault. Always looking out for those he felt were marginalized. A man who respected his culture and good traditions. The man with the pen, always writing, even wrote how he wanted his biography to be. He was a dandy good dresser!

I knew nda Orlando as a young boy through his vibrancy when I visited my grandfather and his family at Naze. Whenever he was around, the air was always different as people were excited by his presence. We got closer when he moved to New York and I would occasionally visit with him or saw him at the Ogueri family's home. We became so close that he let me know his thoughts and plans for his children. I was planning on visiting with him in January, only to hear about his demise. This is a great loss to his family, and community. I pray that God gives him eternal rest and give his immediate family the strength to deal with the loss. It's so hard to believe that you are no longer here with us, nda Orlando. You will be greatly missed.

Mr Orlando as I fondly called him was a gentle man to the core. He and my late dad were best of friends and he had such a unique laughter that I remember till this day. I know he's in a better place and surely one day we will reunite with him. My thoughts and prayers to his family and I pray God grant them the fortitude to bear this loss.

Knew daddy as a young boy back in Lagos before he moved Stateside of US. Daddy is known to be very caring, accommodating and a very high intellectual. The ambience around him whenever I was around him had the tone of "Daddy has been staying overseas since and just came back to Nigeria" yet was very Igbo to the core. He had a polished persona that just endears him to you. Earth will miss you daddy. Heaven has gained another saint who has come to rest for his labours and dedication. Adieu Daddy.
