Nick Benterman

I just wanted to add what a lovely person Nick was, always so helpful and knowledgeable we was, but always had a laugh and dry wit about him. He would always endeavour to find a way to help out, such a warm, kind person. We had a conversation during lockdown when we was talking of retiring, selfishly I said he couldn't as Culham wouldn't function without him, I am truly saddened by his passing xx

Always very helpful, always very friendly. That was Nick.

Nick was always a friendly face and helped me and many of the team on quite a number of occasions. We always used to have a laugh and a joke. Nick would come into the office tap on the keyboard a few times talking to himself and all would be well. Really sad to hear the news, greatly missed and such a nice and generous person. I feel honoured to have got to know him and who else would wear shorts in January! xx

I count myself very lucky to have had Nick always on hand eager to help out and resolve all of my PC problems over the years. I couldn't ever understand what he was doing and would always be amused when he talked through his workings as he went. Nick had a lovely way about him and didn't judge me for being out of my depth with anything computer related. He would breeze in with a smile on his face, sort out whatever problems I had and be gone again leaving me and my computer much happier than how he found us. I'm sorry to hear about his passing. Nick will be missed by many of us.

It was a pleasure working with Nick for the last 15 years. He was always so cheerful and was on hand to help at any time. It's so very sad that we have lost him so young. RIP lovely man, and my sincerest condolences to Nick's family.

It was great to have Nick work for me for much of his time in Culham West and beyond. He was a fantastic source of knowledge, he never claimed to know about something until he knew more that anyone else. A big loss to everyone, we will miss him very much.

Nick was a constant of the PC support team and although I did not often have to call for support if Nick was the person to assist he was always willing and would be fully engaged in resolving the problem. A recognisable personality! Condolences to Nick's family.

Nick dug me out of more PC problems than I can remember, I loved the way he vocalised his thought process. He was always helpful and had a lovely manner, mostly working with a smile on his face, shorts and usually a loud shirt no matter the outside temp! RIP Nick.
