My deepest condolences to Matthias's family and friends. We have all lost an amazing person known for bringing positive atmosphere wherever he went, making lives of other people better as a result. I knew Matthias for years and he was the one person always smiling (and always baking). I wish we did not have to say goodbye, but I will keep fond memories of him.

It's really difficult to accept the fact that Matthias is not around. But although not physically, the memory of him will stay with anyone who's met him. I've worked with Matthias over the past 7 years both as his team member and peer, and what has really stood out in our interactions was his kindness, calmness and sense of humor. Even in challenging times at work, we would keep his cool and handle things at ease. I will remember calls where his cats were jumping on his desk and lap. I will remember discussions on sour dough bread when we had the pleasure of meeting in person. Heartfelt condolences to the family.

I had the pleasure of working with Matthias for the past two years. He was such a positive, genuine human being in every interaction I had with him. He will be deeply missed. My heartfelt condolences to Matthias' family and friends. Rest in peace Matthias.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Matthias in person, but I was aware of how respected and appreciated he was by our colleagues, and I hear people speak so thankfully about the support, friendship and mentorship they got from him throughout their careers. This is such a tragic loss.
