Mark Piggott

Mark was such a lovely man and I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He was always cheerful and wonderful to have a chat with in the kitchen whilst making the office so jealous with the smell of his amazing lunches at Heartlands Estates - a real gent. RIP Mark - so glad to have met you.

I only knew Mark since he joined Birmingham Women's and Children's hospital in November. During that time Mark was always straight talking, supportive, honest and passionate about his work, a really decent man gone far too soon and I shall miss working with him. My deepest condolences to Mark's wife and children, my thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

I worked with Mark at RM Douglas in the early days when the Surveyors were passing their TPC RICS exams, we both shared a passion for Photography and mark was a friend to us all. We all kept in touch and recently started to meet again regularly. I cannot believe this has happened to such a kind and professional man, He will be missed. He loved and was very proud of his family, My thoughts are with Julie and the rest of the family at this terrible time,

Very saddened to hear of the passing of Mark , I know he will leave a huge hole in many lives and my thoughts are with you all especially his family at such a difficult time.

I worked with Mark for a number of years when I started working on one of his main projects at Heartlands. He was absolutely committed to doing the right thing for our patients, in the right right way and in particular with a passion maintaining the standards of his profession. We had many an intense conversation about how to get things done and I had a huge about of respect for his dedication to the cause. My heartfelt condolences are sent his wife and sons and my sympathy to his current and past colleagues and friends to whom I know his loss is deeply felt.

I spent a lot of time with Mark over the short period in which we worked together. What was very clear to me was Mark's passion and drive to develop the service and improve project delivery. I enjoyed the time that I spent with Mark and appreciated the time he took to share his vision for the Trust and his support in getting me up to speed. On a personal note, I enjoyed speaking with Mark about family life (and holidays) and his stories and stories over years in construction. I offer my deepest condolences to Mark's wife and family and am saddened by his loss.

Dear Julie, Daniel and Alex, I was very shocked and deeply saddened to hear that Mark had passed away. I was very fortunate to have known Mark for almost twenty years. Mark and I first met whilst he was working for Costain and I was working for Good Hope Hospital, we were both involved in the development of the Diagnostic & Treatment Centre. As I left Good Hope Hospital in 2003 Mark joined the Trust in my previous role as Capital Development Manager and we have stayed in touch ever since. Mark was certainly an excellent appointment into the NHS. I am proud also to say I was involved in Mark's more recent appointment at Birmingham Women's & Children's Hospital and extremely pleased to welcome him into the Trust. It has been an honour and a pleasure knowing and working with Mark he will be greatly missed, he was a true gentleman. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.
