Beloved mother, caring grandmother.

Condolences

Ashley

The love of a grandmother is unique. Grandmothers are God's gift to make our lives more complete, to shower us with love and liven up our lives. Cucu has played a big part in my life and i have numerous fond memories of her. She may be physically gone but her spirit continues to live in me and those she touched with her love, wisdom and beautiful soul. Love you grandma. You were a special woman! Forever in my heart. Ashley.

My dearest beloved family, May God's divine peace & comfort be your portion, particularly, at this time of such a heavy loss. Words will not wipe away our tears nor hugs ease our pain, but as we share in this time of grief, let us also share and hold on to the love and treasured memories of mom who was such a special 'Mami' to so many of us. She was a phenomenal woman of great faith, wisdom, courage, strength and had so much love to give. She was a mentor and a counsellor, true to her vocation as a teacher. She smiled in the face of trouble...always calm. Her sense of humour..astounding. Mom has run the race and completed victoriously. She has left a great legacy and has taught us many a lessons. *Moan her we must, but _let us also celebrate the phenomenal woman she was_.* *Certainly, heaven is rejoicing for another beautiful soul has finally reached her true home*. _Maama kwega kuuraga, Mami witu turendete,_until we meet again_

Tales are told and songs sung for heroes and heroines long gone, but for this great matriarch, the song will live on. Every time I will think of you as I mention your Name at Each Divine Service alongside all the other heroes of faith, knowing that you didn't die on us, no, you simply got promoted to the Triumphant Church. You challenged me to the very core with your undying faith, Even on your sick bed you always looked beyond the bed and saw the Church doors which awaited your return to Church, now, dear mum, you are ushered into the radiant Church of the Lamb, where the sounds of Alleluia are unceasing. You loved the song "Mwathani Wakwa Njakaniria Tawa", behold, Christ; the Light of the world now lights your way to his eternal splendorous home of rest. I envy you, mum, because you kept your faith to the very end of this chapter, I wonder whether I will be as strong when my time comes. You looked beyond mortal death, and declared that you shall live to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living, and behold you have entered into it, a land where death is no more! You challenged me not to construct a small church, saying that we are called to preach and bring lost souls to the lord, and not to maintain the few who already know the Lord, Mum, we did it, and you even bought the first chairs, not one, you actually bought 5, five lost souls now have a place to sit in the new church seeking the path to eternity. You see, mum, you are challenging us to do more even from beyond this life. You told me never to look at a person with judging eyes, that we are all sinners coming to church; which is a school of sinners, not a museum of holy people!!! Thank you for those golden words, by that advice, you helped transform a church of barely 10 people to a cathedral of over 70, not to mention over 40 children and young souls and we are still growing. I salute you, Golden hearted, phenomenal woman, Teacher, Counselor, intercessor, impromptu public speaker, exceptional wedding planner, What you couldn't do, I wonder who could!!! And when I was at my lowest point in life, you reached out where my family couldnt and gave me hope, you opened my eyes and always called me to followup on my progress, you saw through my pain and anguish and wiped my tears over the phone, I wish I could do more to repay you, but you demanded nothing in return. Your love was a gift, A treasure. If your virtues live on in your children, then i know we truly have Angels among us. That's what you were to those who truly knew you, an Angel. What can I say at this juncture? May you find eternal rest where the righteous repose. May your memory be eternal dear mum! I promise you that we will try our best not to cry as you rejoice! We will try our best!
