Lorna suddenly passed away peacefully on Wednesday 22nd September aged just 60. We will all remember Lorna for her kindness, thoughtfulness and the passion she had for making people’s lives better which she shared with us all. Lorna had a love for cooking, travelling, socialising and wildlife. Lorna would often share photos taken by her husband David of local wildlife at her home (Friday Special). Lorna worked with Falkirk Council for over 39 years she was a respected, knowledgeable and highly valued member of the Revenue and Benefits Team and will be greatly missed. Lorna’s contribution to the lives of her colleagues, and the citizens we serve, will be an immeasurable loss.

I am still in shock at hearing the sad news of her passing, while I was on holiday. I met Lorna in 2001 when I joined the Council. I was so scared of her. Then I got to know her and she was such a lovely lady. She was thoughtful, knowledge about and so helpful. I will miss the Friday pics. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to work with her in many ways. My thoughts go out to David and all Lorna's family. Lorna, you will never be forgotten and thank you for just being you.

I will never forget our Christmas Night out at the Dobbie hall where Lorna and David glided across the floor like the professionals they were making the rest of us look like complete amateurs. I was shocked and saddened to hear about Lorna. From the day I started at Falkirk Council Lorna was the first person to day hello to me, she would always ask how things were, about any holidays and especially if I had any ' peroxide moments' recently. Always kind and full of fun. She will be sadly missed. My thoughts are with David and Lorna's family xx

What a lady! I think of Lorna and immediately smile and remember all that she was. She had that impact on all who met her and she will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with all her family and friends who have broken hurting hearts. The service on friday befitted her right down to the music playing.
