Lillian Mudzivare, a Senior Mental Health Nurse and an important part of Forward Thinking Birmingham, passed away this week following a long battle with Covid-19. Lillian was a much-loved member of our Forward Thinking Birmingham team whose bubbly, vibrant and bright approach touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

I, as a young person and service user, know the invaluable contribution that Lillian made to the mental health service provision as I had the pleasure of working with her when I was under the care of the home treatment team. She demonstrated a genuine compassion and drive to help young people. She was friendly and approachable, an exemplary worker and it is with great sadness that I heard about her passing. I will forever think of her with fond memories. She may be gone but will definitely not be forgotten. Her legacy will remain.

Its so hard to even begin to think about what to say at such a sad time, I didn't know Lillian for a long period of time, however what comes to mind is her authentic approach to work, the people around her and that lovely smile. I know how much she will be missed by everybody. My deepest sympathy goes to her family and all that new Lillian.
