In loving memory of Laure Severac, French designer, artist, family member, colleague and friend. Laure was a teacher at the fashion department and researcher at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, Belgium. Laure died on 19th of August following a traffic accident while on her cycling holiday in Wales. Laure Severac was an Antwerp-based artist whose practice comprised the fields of architecture, fashion, textiles, and crafts. She studied architecture in France and Germany and graduated in 2015 in fashion at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. She was shortlisted for the H&M Design Awards, was the recipient of the Christine Mathys Award, the EE-Exclusive Prize, the BVBA32 Prize, and the Flanders Fashion Institute Award, and she showcased her work at the Paleis voor Schone Kunsten in Brussels. In her artistic practice, Laure looked for collaborative projects relating to the topic of generosity. She was very much loved and will be missed by many. Feel welcome to share memories and moments.
