Kevin McCarthy

I have known Kevin for over 27 years when we first met during the MHC build in Newcastle and during my time as the Thales MHC ISS Program Manager. Kevin was a great bloke, professional in his approach to work and a nice person to be with when we met on many social occasions, his MHC project knowledge was second to none. Kev will be missed by so many people. MY sincere condolences to Maria and he family.

Kevin was great bloke. Always first to start on the morning shift and always there to let me into the office when the system had locked me out, again. I will miss our banter about the footy and young people these days. May he always be remembered.

Kevin was a good man and very hard working colleague. The news of his sudden passing has left me in shock. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Kevin's family. Kevin, you will be greatly missed. May your soul rest in perfect peace.

The world is a sadder place, as we have lost a true gentleman, a well respected colleague and mate. My deepest condolences to Maria and family on their loss.

Kevvy was a great bloke even though he followed the wrong football code and club. Who is going to open up the SPO office now. I will miss you Kev.

After working with Kevin for nearly 16 years at the SPO I just expected him to always be the first in the office and to be at his desk doing a fantastic job and if I needed a break he was always up for a joke and a tall story. He was a fantastic guy, great at his job and always willing to help. I am glad that I no longer work at the SPO because I think I would cry every time I looked at his empty desk. So Kev even though you have “crossed the bar for the last time” you will always be remembered

Kevin was a much loved and indispensable part of the team, and we were all shocked to learn of his passing. Kevin, thank you for always being kind and consistently helpful to all around you. Your absence is already felt, and I’ll miss your cheerful ‘good morning Colie’ and humour to brighten up my day. You were a way better morning person than me! To his family, I am sorry for your massive loss. It was always evident that he loved you and the fur babies. Thinking of you all - Kevin was truely a great man taken too soon. Love Colie x

I'm still very much in shock. Wherever you are now Kev I wish you were still here, you were such a great bloke with a great work ethic and always helpful to me and our team. Missing you heaps already. My sincere condolences to Kev's family.
