If someone had told me that you won't be with us for much longer, I would have disagreed and argued it violently, you had promised to come for my birthday with lots of goodies but what do we know? God knows best. Boda Jose was such a good uncle and I had always looked forward seeing you and hear you tell your dry jokes that always put a big grin on everyone and your laughter, priceless. I could pay to bring you back but God knows best and He's perfect in all His ways. Goodbye Uncle......

Otunba Jose, the sad news of your demise came to me as a rude shock and really short of words at this moment. It has pleased the creator to take you at this time and we can’t question HIM. Rest well and find peace. Adieu a jolly good fellow.

"Boda Jose is gone".......This phrase brought bitter sadness in my heart that Wednesday morning and made me regret not calling you a week earlier when I felt like seeing and talking to you, I have been postponing it because of my "busy schedule and workload" and now I wish I had never postponed it. But from what I have learnt, God is sovereign and our submission to Him is really important. So, I just have to deal with the fact that I won't be seeing you nor talk to you again but I will miss you. I love you dearly Uncle. Goodbye from this troublesome world, now rest well......

Humanly possible, you would have still be with us,but it pleased God to allow you crossed over. We therefore return all glory to the Creator of heaven and earth who knows the best to do at every point in time. Adieu Jose.

It was with shock and much sadness that we received the news of your passing. It never crossed our minds that you will leave so soon. The last time I saw you, was in Akure. You had come to attend our family function that I had just mentioned to you in passing a few weeks before. I wasn’t really expecting you to be there knowing how busy your schedule is , but that was the kind of person you were! Always selfless and supportive. Never minding that notice was short, you came all the way. Jose, you were very generous, humble and unassuming. Though you had achieved so much in your forty two years, you remained grounded  and modest. Always respectful and personable, your words were continually courteous and polite .  You brought a presence to everywhere you went. Always smiling and  engaging,  having the  right words for the season. I was looking forward to seeing you sometime soon. You had promised to drop by the house when you rounded up the doctorate program you were so committed to completing, but that was not to be. As the saying goes, it is for man to propose but it is God that disposes. Jose, we really would have wanted you around us for much longer but God knows best. We submit to his will and we thank Him for the life you lived.  It is never about how long but always about how well. You lived a good life and left behind a lasting legacy.   Sweet indeed is the remembrance of the righteous. You have gone from our sight, but you will forever remain in  our hearts. Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with your wife and children and the entire Emuleomo family at this time. The Lord himself will comfort us all. Rest in peace Otunba Jose Omoniyi Emuleomo.
