John was a Lifetime Honorary Member of Leaside Tennis Club and dedicated volunteer. He was a past Board member but most will remember him for his tireless passion for House League. He is survived by his wife Jane and daughter Sara.

Dear Jane and Sara. My deepest condolences to you and your extended family. John was my first house league captain and took me as his mixed doubles partner when I joined the club. His wit, competitive spirt and tricky spin volley will always be remembered. His passion for LTC, tennis and knowing every player and their ranking (to help his team win at House league) was incredible. He will be missed greatly. Rest in peace, John.

My condolences. John was my tennis partner on the inter-county team one year. It was my first time playing competitive doubles so I had some learning to do. John was always patient and kind which I appreciated. His warm greeting any time I saw him at the club is also a fond memory.

What I will remember is his wicked spins on the ball, his wry smile when he hit a good shot, his generosity, his dedication and love for tennis and the members.
