As everyone says John was a lovely man, always remember when we were setting up some cameras and to make sure they worked - we pulled off some fabulous poses xx My thoughts are with all his family and friends at this time xx

I will always remember John as a gentle giant - hard to imagine UoL IT without John. Rest in Peace John xx

So sorry to hear this sad news. John was a kind and helpful man, with a huge presence and IT know-how-brain. Wishing strength and courage to his close friends and family.

I did not know John well but in my dealings with him he was so helpful and friendly and had a great presence about him. My sympathies go out to his family and friends at this sad time.

I will miss John's Chinese greetings. He would use a different one each time we met!

Always friendly; that's how I will remember John. When I first joined IT I remember someone telling me to message John to see if he could help. He introduced himself and was very friendly. A few months later, some of us were called back to work from the office, and every week I used to meet with John at the lift and exchange a "good morning", and a few words. It was a great way to start the day. He'll always be remembered not for just being helpful to others but for being a genuinely kind person.
