*** UPDATE: Dear family and friends, We are extremely sorry to inform you that due to bureaucratic complications, delays and without sufficient notice, Ivans funeral took place this afternoon. The close family in Israel honoured Ivan on his last journey. We are aware of the fact that many of you wanted to attend and we hope to see you at the memorial ceremony when the gravestone is revealed. Details about this will follow as soon as possible. ************************************************************************************************************************** It is with great love, admiration, a sense of fulfilment and deep sadness, that we announce the passing of Ivan Moscovich. Our beloved, kind, brilliant, playful, inspirational, generous, humble and strong hero, husband, father, grandfather and friend. An extraordinary human being, loved and esteemed by so many for his endless determination, creativity and genius as inventor, mathematician, artist, founder and Holocaust survivor. Ivan passed calmly and peacefully on Friday, April 21st 2023, surrounded by his family. He was almost 97. His legendary legacy will live on forever. Acknowledging his worldwide relations, there will be different ways to honour and celebrate Ivan and his remarkable life.

Morten Weilbach: I'm deeply sorry for the loss of Ivan. Although I only spoke to him on the phone a couple of times and never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, I can tell from the expressions of love and admiration from friends and family of his that I have spoken to, that he was a truly remarkable person who touched the lives of many. His creative mind, passion and kind heart have left an unforgettable mark on those who knew him. His contributions to the worlds of design and play will continue to inspire generations to come. I’m sure you will find comfort in knowing that Ivan's memory will live on through the lives he touched and the incredible legacy he leaves behind.

Ivan was a true gentleman with old world manners. He had an uncanny resemblance to Salvador Dali and a playful side to go with his serious works. An author, artist, inventor and survivor, Ivan embodied the greatest qualities of the human spirit. The word genius is too easily used but Ivan was, and his enormous body of work will be appreciated by generations to come.
