Warm-hearted, joyful and caring, strong in spirit, body and mind, Hilda lived to make the world a better place for her patients, in her role as a GP; for everyone, through her love of the environment; and for her friends and family through embracing adventure, fun and silliness off the beaten track. Dearly loved. A remembrance ceremony will be held for her on 13.02.24 at 12:00 at the Buiksloterkerk in Amsterdam.

I'm shattered, I was just thinking of you today, and as I hadn't spoke to you in such a long time; decided to use google and try nd find you on linkedin and send a message. I cannot believe that this is what Ive just found. How? I dont understand. I met you in Australia, back in around 2004 or there abouts. We clicked straight away, I think we went to fraser Island or straddie together. The friendship was immediate. Two doctors in a strange land. We stayed in touch even when you went back to Holland, but time, life and distance of the years eventually took over. I wish I had stayed more connected Hilda. You were one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met. I still have the blue butterfly you bought me when you left. Im absolutely shocked and devastated. The good ones always die too soon. God bless you sweet friend.

Ik heb Hilda leren kennen in Gezondheidscentrum Bannebuiksloot. Een aantal jaren heb ik van haar enthousiasme en warmte mogen genieten op de vrijdagen. Ze verhoogde mijn werkplezier als psycholoog in het centrum. Wat een enorm verlies. Ik wens haar naasten heel veel sterkte.
