George Shipman

George was born and raised in Monroe, Michigan. He earned a BA from Albion College, and Masters degrees from Western Michigan and the University of Michigan. During his career, he spent time working in Puerto Rico, at the Library of Congress, the University of Tennessee, and finally at the University of Oregon, where he worked until he retired. He is survived by his loving wife, Krystyna Shipman, and his two sons, Brian Shipman and Andrew Shipman, and their respective families.
