Esther, my Olufunke namesake, I knew of you for a while but only met you recently, and boy did you leave an impact!!! This life journey is so unpredictable. Your warmth, generosity and kindness will forever be remembered. We miss you but you are on the next phase. Moving onwards towards our Maker. Ride on ride on in Light and Majesty.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire family on the passing of Sister Esther Olufunke. It’s clear she was a special woman whose life made a meaningful impact. May the Lord comfort every heart, strengthen the family with His peace during this time. Her memory will surely live on. May her soul rest in peace. Amen

She was going home, back to where she was before arriving here” Deeply thoughtful, that was you Funke sharing your insight on the death of grandma in one of your blogs. The idea of transition from this world to another is not something alien to you, it is something that you talked about it and wrote about as part of your therapy work. If there was a way to prepare for it, I know that you would have prepared for it, so I am convinced that, even though we are all so hurt that you are no longer with us, you are at peace where you are now. Not one for petty chit chats, Funke you were serious minded and an intellectual. Straight talking, articulate, opinionated and persuasive, you leave an impression on whoever you encounter. Full of knowledge and wisdom, you marshals your points with such clarity that leaves no doubt in one’s mind about your position on issues. I will definitely miss our long conversations about anything and everything. Gentle, kind and suave, you always carry yourself with such elegance and class. I will miss your presence. Gifted with native intelligence and wisdom, you took on leadership role in the family at an early age and excelled. You practically raised Chuky and Kayo all by yourself, what a great mother you were to them! We will all miss your advice and counsels Thank you Funke, for being authentically you and for living a life of impact. It is not how long but how well. Continue to rest in peace my dear beloved cousin. Forever missed.
