TRIBUTE:When I and my younger ones heard the news of your passing unto glory, indeed it was a great loss to us in all estimations. What quickly came to mind was the sweet memories of how the journey started right from the very beginning of knowing you as the very senior sister of our mum,aunty nike I and my other siblings were all given birth to right before your presence on Lagos island and also grew up under your wonderful watch. In those memorable years on Lagos island,49,odunlami to be specific where you lived, this your resident really played a dual significant roles to me and tope in (my immediate younger one) in particular. Firstly, your home was practically our 2nd home and also a transit "camp" enroute Iga ishodi or any other places we intend to connect based on the instructions or itinerary of our mum. On a daily basis, for me, going and coming back from school right from the days as a student of Christ Church Cathedral Primary School on broad street and up to my secondary school years in the mid 70's and mid 80's, your home was practically our home. You and all your children showered us with unquantifiable love,affection and support. Providence also smiled on us on a larger scale when you and our mum also relocated to abesan- Jakande estate where the "fraternity" grew,grew and deeply consolidated. You really stood by us come rain rain;come sunshine within your limited and human capacity right from our cradle till the very end. You are not a fair whether personae. You are indeed ,A MOTHER in the true sense of the word NOT ONLY TO YOUR CHILDREN but to all other person's that comes across you. "You are a mother like no other mother". A real mother-in-Isreal. You are a very precious jewel and a great blessing to humanity. Nike as you affectionately call our mum all the time, will surely and emotionally miss you.You and her were just like a siamese twin sisters with your endless gists on the island from street to street as well as at abesan estate neighborhood. An enviable and mutual relationship that spanned well over six(6) decades uninterrupted. We too your children (I e myself and all my younger ones : tope,tolu and kemi), will also miss you dearly. Grandma, continue to rest in the bossom of your creator,your Lord and personal saviour whom you passionately served with all your time, strength, energy and available resources while on this earthly journey. Mummy Ogundijo was a wonderful woman and mother to all around her. She was a disciplinarian but loving and kind. May mummy Ogundijo’s soul rest in perfect peace. Sun re, abiyamo otito.

It's heartfelt gratitude of a great loss of the beloved my aunt and peaceful transition to the eternity of our blessed Mrs Efunrinade Olayinka Ogundijo. Glory to God for her gift of quietness that fostered her with loving-kindness from other late aunts and few living legends in deed and unity that made in me decades past pride of my mother's side over my father's side during trying past. May she continues resting peacefully in the Lord Jesus Christ, hallelujah amen.

Mummy, it was a very sad day when the news broke about your passing to glory. While we cannot blame God, the loss and the pain are not fathomable. You were a great example of motherhood, a rare position not for the weak or faint-hearted. You shall be missed. Sleep on until we meet again at the Feet of Christ.

Iya mi owon! Iya ni wura iye biye!! Mami, (as you were fondly called while we were young). You were not just a great mother but a worthy custodian of the gifts (children) God blessed you with. You were indeed a priceless gem. A very strong woman who instilled discipline in us and ensured we were all taught of the Lord, supporting us in every way you could. Proverbs 31:10-31 aptly describes your personality. You were indeed a virtuous woman clothed with strength and dignity. Very hard working and industrious. Your nuclear family and the entire household were your priority. This includes everyone that lived with you at different times (and there were a lot of them). You made the house a home for all. Everyone that associated with you always had positive things to say about you. It pleases the Lord to take you to himself at this time. We find solace and confidence in that you knew the Lord as your personal Lord and saviour while you lived. We will always remember and think of those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report (Philippians 4:8) which you taught us and which we know about you. You are, and will be greatly missed. Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord till the resurrection morning. We love you but God loves you more. Abiyamo tooto sun re o!! Mrs. Toun Adedipe

Unfortunately, Nature is so cruel, such that All good things must come to an End. If not, Sweet Mother wouldn’t have to passed on. It’s your Egun Boy, saying May your Soul Rest in Perfect Peace.
