I was very sad and shocked to hear about Dave’s passing and would like to convey my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. I found Dave to be a very kind and level-headed person and always interested in new ideas. I remember years ago a discussion I had with him on machine learning when it was first coming into play in pharmacovigilance, and his curiosity in wanting to learn all he could about it. I will miss him and working with him.

Dave was one of the most positive people I had the pleasure to work with in my whole career. Each time I was in RTP he reminded me how attitude brings out the best in people and teams. RIP Dave

I did not know Dave really well but any time I would see him in the office, we had a nice chat. He was a genuinely nice guy and always with that smile! Sending heartfelt thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly sad time.
