Daniel Appiah Agyepong, affectionately called Dan or Cocotee, was born to the family of Mr and Mrs Asamoa Agyepong (both deceased), on the 16th of May 1981 at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He was the 8th born of his 9 siblings. Daniel was raised in Oda, Tema, Abeka, East Cantonments and Lashibi. He completed his primary school education at Kotoka Primary School in Burma Camp, Accra. After successfully sitting and passing his BECE, he gained admission into Adisadel College in Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana for his Secondary School Education. His leadership qualities were noticed and he was made house captain for Knight house in the school. Dan held a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Studies from the University of Ghana and was a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana In 2007 he was employed by GCB Bank as an officer and rose to the position of Operations Manager in the Duayaw Nkwanta branch of the bank until his sudden demise. He was a keen sportsman and played for the Knight House football team in his Adisadel College days and was a member of Sunyani Tennis Club and GCB Bank Tennis Team. Dan was married to a woman of substance, Evelyn Agyepong with whom he has three adorable kids; Marilyn Akosua Agyepong,Jason Agyekum Agyepong and Jacklyn Opokua Agyepong. As a Father, Husband, Brother and Friend, it was a short life spent together but it was a life well lived. We love him, but we know God loves him best and so he called him at His own right time. Dan, da yie! Nante yie!

Oh Dan! the shock, the pain, the memories.This is so hard to take in, painful to believe. So well behaved and a sense of humour. As young as we were, you always addressed our mum as Miss Younge even till our last conversation you referred to her as such. Rest well Dan. My tears just won't stop. we love you and will miss you dearly

Dan!!!!! So so many memories... Many of them joyful in the end...One that stands out was when you called to tell me about ongoing background checks being done on my husband who wanted my hand in marriage 12years ago after eavesdropping on your parents conversation. You assured me the feedback was good so I shouldn’t fear agreeing to his proposal. Indeed, the years have been good... just darkened by your passing. Ms. Younge and her girls are broken. Our prayers are with the entire family, Evelyn, may the Lord strengthen you in this difficult time. Dan nantie yie. Rest In Peace

It is very difficult to take in. Our last conversation still playing in my head. When I called on Sunday and you did not answer, I took it for granted that you were sleeping. Little did I know your illness had taken a different turn. Even then, was looking forward to visiting you at home after your discharge from the hospital. This is difficult, and I can only imagine what Evelyn, Ako, Jason and Jackie will be going through. Thanks for the time spent together as a brother-in-law for eleven years. I pray you journey home safely and become an Ancestor to Ako, Jason and Jackie. Safe journey home Dan and regards to Maa Paulina, Daa and my Mum when you get there. Safe travels Dan, God be with you till we meet again.

Great student and although I have not seen or spoken to you in years, I will remember your infectious smile and great sense of humor.
