Itayi Mashonganyika

Having known mukoma just after I started working for Marondera in 2011, just a mere conversation could tell you more of the vast wealth of knowledge and wisdom Engineer Chineka had. He was just that one person who would speak his mind, without fear or prejudice and make people understand concepts every layman could understand, in a soft voice but powerful in message. We will never get another mukoma like what Christopher was, what we can only hope for is to continue his legacy of selflessness, love and commitment, dedication and the ever welcoming heart for everyone. Go well Engineer, may you rest in eternal peace. Till we meet again in Paradise! Sadly missed

When brothers turn into parents, loosing them is a double loss. I feel empty and hopeless. I don't know how to say rest in peace, I wish there was another way of expressing it. You were my greatest support system, someone I can genuinely rely on. You supported me academically to be the Professional I am today. Wherever you are my dear brother may the Lord keep you and all we have left to hang on are the precious memories of the time we had with you. I will forever love you and miss you.

Mainini Rose

I have no words. 21 June 2021 came unexpected. I remember when you took me in and promised to take care of me throughout my pregnancy. You meant it. You indeed took care of me. Ndaimwa ma100% juice and fresh milk everyday and u would make sure ndawana all the comfort during my pregnancy. You had no obligation to do this but this is exactly who you were Chris, a father, a loving babamukuru and a protector. My daughter came on 4 October 2018, a few minutes before 5 October which was your birthday. You were the first to come to the hospital with nzungu and more 100% juice. You said to me, mainini idyai nzungu dzakawnda it will help u. You assure me of your protection and indeed I felt safe around you and Machi. I will forever remember what you did for me and my daughter Chris. Wherever you are, I know you are looking down on us, just know that I miss you and its been tough on us. Its been hard on Machi and the kids but I know your aura and memories will keep us going. Rest easy Dhewa. Till we meet again our husband. Love Mainini Rose
