Caroll Cunningham

Caroll was my 'Boss Lady' in Recruitment at FareShare, very knowledgeable and committed to people/charities. She was funny and very generous, we would often share our Travel and Sales hacks. An animal lover (a regular Dr Doolittle) especially her reptiles (The Reptile Lady) whose 'live' diet we would see delivered to the office. Sharing stories of her life and family, many could only dream of having the kind of mother you were to Tia.

I saw Caroll many times in the last few months as I was one of the few people still going into the Deptford office. She worked incredibly hard to make it a nice space for people to return to and filled it with plants, fitted it with air filters and spaced out the desks. She was a real character and no conversation with her was ever boring. In fact, I made a note of something she said which really did make me laugh out loud. We were discussing how cramped the office had been before everybody had to work from home and she said in a tone of complete disapproval "you were like battery hens. Not really bad, very bad."

Caroll was a great colleague to me and from what I have heard over the last few weeks, everyone else too! Caroll will be greatly missed and I am upset I didn't get chance to get to know Caroll more. My thoughts and condolences go out to Caroll's family.

Caroll, you were a force of nature… and that’s what we loved about you. You did things in your own way, sometimes that way was different to everyone else’s, but you stuck to your guns and did it anyway and you were respected for that. Whatever you put your mind to; you succeeded at, demonstrated by those early days in rolling out FareShare Go where you thrived on smashing the targets! There was no way you were going to fail! Your commitment to FareShare was incredible, so much to the extent you moved your family from the South upto Sheffield to take the Recruitment Manager role. We know you loved this role, and when we awarded your team – The Team of the Year – you were so proud, it was great to see you so happy, and it was so well deserved. My lasting memory of you is the glow when you talked about Tia, your family, your pets, often with wine in hand! Keep smiling Caroll, you will be sorely missed by your FareShare family X

Whenever I think of Caroll I think of her smile and the sparkle in her eye. She was a very warm and entertaining person and I would often come away from our conversations smiling or laughing. I'll always remember the conversation we had about homeopathy for horses (I had no idea that was a thing!), and the time some boxes of crickets arrived at the office for her reptiles! I will also remember the times that I needed a bit of a boost and Caroll always knew the right thing to say. We will miss you Caroll x

I spent a few days with Caroll at FareShare HQ, frantically preparing for a meeting. As well as being beyond helpful, Caroll was reassuring and hilarious. In every video call I took, someone would spot her in the background and disrupt our conversation to shout "oh hi Caroll!!". She was clearly a well-loved and important member of the FareShare family, and she will be sorely missed. We are all thinking of Caroll's family at this horrible time. x

My cousin, my friend, one beautiful person , inside and out. Always putting others first she always knew who/what needed help, and when possible she got things sorted. No job/animal too big or too small. Shine high and bright like the star you were always ment to be xx

Caroll, I miss the big hugs and enormous smiles that would always be accompanied by a cheery ‘Hiya Lizzy Wizzy’ whenever we met. Usually at a strange hotel, and almost always with a glass of merlot not too far away. I miss the dancing that followed the merlot, and the stories you would tell when we caught our breath on the side lines. I miss the videos of your pets you would share with us when the mood needed lightening, and the glint in your eye the first time your bearded dragon came to a Monday morning video call. Working with you, we witnessed your passion, your conviction and your humour, and boy did I learn a thing or two about getting things done. Thankyou for shining your light in our direction, keep on dancing.
