Carol Robinson

Carol was known by those closest to her for her courage and endurance over the last few years after battling poor health. She leaves behind Jeff, Lucy and Mike and her very much loved grandchildren. Everyone who knew mum really well knew she would often enjoy a challenging conversation and loved the arts and culture. She will be deeply missed by all.

I have known Carol for sixty years and through those times I always enjoyed her company. She was a lively and intelligent women with a slightly laconic sense of mischief and fun. She also had a practical side, someone who was willing to get things done. I remember that laugh of hers, with a slight growl at the end. We all had some great times and it saddens me at the moment to think of the laughter. But when her illness overtook her she coped with the incredible difficulties with great courage and how life enhancing it was for her and the rest of us when she had a long reprieve from it. Later when she was faced again with these great difficulties she coped and my respect for her grew throughout her last years. She has made an impact on my life and Sue and I have been proud to know her.
