Bunmi and I were shocked and saddened to hear of your passing, Uncle Bolade. I immediately took to my Facebook messenger, in tears, to show my husband evidence of how you have taken time to reach out to me and send kind words of encouragement over the years, be it on my birthday or in moments of sadness, such as when my Dad passed away. You and Aunty Moyin have been a blessing to us as a couple and we have learnt from your loving and attentive parenting style. May God uphold Aunty and our precious sisters, your legacy is an impactful one which will endure in the very many hearts that you touched. Rest well Sir! Much love from Bunmi & Tosin Asaolu.

Sir Bolly you left us so suddenly and too soon but God Almighty knows best. It’s still hard for us to accept your home call and cannot believe last November will be the last time we’ll meet but we thank God for your life and impact. You will surely be missed. Your demise was shocking to me. We still had alot of discussions the last time you visited Nigeria about the assignment you gave me... I never knew you'll not live to see the conclusion. But I take solace in the fact that you knew the Lord and you impacted lives positively. You'll be greatly missed sir.

On behalf of the Old Students Association of Adeko Memorial Nursery & Primary School where the spiritual, moral and intellectual foundation of Bolade and lots of us was formed, I commiserate with the family of our beloved, friend and brother. Indeed, the beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen! Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph. With our relationship of more than 50 years in the boarding house at ADEKO, I can vouch, and of a truth, a pillar had fallen from among us, with the homecall of Bolade. Bolade was a humble, dependable, reliable, understandable, responsible and committed member of our association. He was a ready help each time we got to a quagmire. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. I pray that God will comfort his wife and continue to stand by his children in the name of Jesus Christ. Sun re o Baba Ijebu. Sun re o Bolade.
