Barry, The news of your passing is like a dagger through my heart. Barry, we never met in person — we were introduced by Ugo — yet you always made time for me. You were always available to take my calls, and there was never a dull moment with you. You were always cracking jokes and bringing joy to every conversation. It was my 14-year-old son who broke the news to me tonight. Recently, he’s expressed an interest in modelling, and just two days ago I told him I knew just the man to guide him — you. When I called your mobile number, I got a “number isn’t recognized” message. So I sent my son the Bettys and Dudes website URL, and through his research, he discovered the heartbreaking news that you are no longer with us. Barry, you have left a void in our lives. I am so numb. Until we meet again, Barry, rest in peace. Our thoughts are with you and your family. You will forever remain young in our hearts.

Thought I would look you up as it had been years since we had spoken. Am in total shock to hear the news of your passing - it just doesn’t seem real. We were childhood sweethearts back in the mid 80’s for nearly 3 years and shared so many life experiences together during our time together. We remained friends for many years however lost touch about 10 years ago. I was always your biggest supporter and you were loved by everyone you met - all it took was a flash of that cheeky smile and a twinkle in your eyes and you won everyone over. I will always cherish our time together and will hold a bit of you in my heart forever. Sleep tight Barry xx

Barry I was so sad to hear of your death. Taken too soon. You were kind to me and so positive and helpful. I remember the chats and laughs we had and your lovely smile. RIP now, free from pain. Love, Lindy XX

We're so very sad to hear of Barry's passing. He was always a delight to speak to and never failed to put a smile on our faces with a simple 'Hello darling'. Everyone at Kate and Lou Casting is sending their sincere condolences to all at Bettys and Dudes, and Barry's loved ones xx

So sad to hear of the loss of Barry. He helped me out when I first became a SA and would laugh at his many stories, it has been a number of years since I had worked with him and was so shocked to hear the news. My deepest condolences to his family.

Dear Barry, you lived your life passionately, your enthusiasm was contagious.your love for the show business created so many beautiful moments in so many people’s lives. You believed in people more than what we could see for ourselves and you stood up for us anytime we needed. Seeing your name in my phone meant something amazing was about to happen. You lived life with gratitude and an open heart and your strength showed there when needed. For those closest to you, my deepest condolences, the world was better with you in it. Wherever you are, I imagine you having a bourbon by the beach.
