Emmanuel Akpologun, born to Joseph and Ajara Akpologun on 7th July 1959 in the town of Igarra, Edo State. He was an Old boy of Saint Paul's Anglican Grammar School and an Alumnus of the University of Benin from where he obtained BSc in Sociology and Anthropology and later a Bachelor of Law Degree. Until his demise on 3rd May 2021, he was Lawyer and a Principal Assistant Registrar in the University of Benin. He was known for his simplicity and down-to-earth nature. He was an astute Administrator, a man of conviction, a tireless defender of the weak and a lover of God Emmanuel Akpologun was a Christian, and an Elder with Christ Apostolic Church. He lived a life of prayers, faith and hospitality. I first learnt to pray because I heard him praying every night. His sweet soft voice would wake me by 12 midnight with the song "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "Oh Thou in Whom my Soul Takes Delight" then he'd minister to the Lord till 3AM. He did that everyday and without instructing me directly, I imbibed the spirit of prayer. He led many to Christ, started more than 14 churches for Christ Apostolic Church, started the CACSA now CACYOF in UNIBEN, raised children who love the Lord and serve Him. Of a truth, though we mourn, we do not so do as them that have no hope. We do not doubt that Dad is with our Lord and saviour today. He loved the Lord and served Him.

May the good God grant you eternal rest with Him Daddy. Your kindness to CACYOF UNIBEN and all that meet with you is second to non, always available and ready to give a helping hand. Our service is not complete without Daddy singing hymns. Daddy made me memorise my best hymn "Am pressing on". Heaven definitely rejoice to have you press on. Rest on God's Great General!!!.. My condolence to the entire family and God will continue to plant the feet of the entire family on higher ground.

Baba is a lover of God and for a man of that age and status he has shown good example to both old and young and motivated them directly or indirectly to walk with and work for God no matter their age or status in the society. Baba through his life depopulate the kingdom of darkness and populate the kingdom of God. I remembered anytime we are about to close and he is given mic to say the closing prayer, it means we have another service of at least 30minutes. He must sing hymn and I love him for that because I love hymn also. Dear Bar. Akpologun Emmanuel continue to rest in peace.The founder and grand patron of God's family (CACYOF). We love you, but Christ loves you more.
