Balakrishna Somanath

Balakrishna Somanath had friends all over the world. He played the game of life with heart with full engagement and with love. Born in Kerala and after completing his MECHANICAL ENGINEERING along with being a cricketer, he then began his career in fabrication and inspections. Having worked at many companies like UDHE, GEA, etc he always gave his 200% effort to his work and also created friends and bonds where ever he worked. Post retirement he worked at recreating connections using Whatsapp and in the last 4 years managed to get back in touch with most of his people. The love, warmth, camadrie he shared with all whether relations, friends or colleagues was something that will be missed. He left for the heavenly abode on 20th January 2019 after suffering a massive heart attack and was cremated with hindu rituals where his mortal remains were confined to the flames on 21st January 2019 at 1430 hrs in Vadodara surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by wife Sushila, children shalini (and husband Prakash) Sanjeev (and wife swapna and kids mittu and meenu) and Sangeetha (husband Raghu and kid Kamya) a. Also survived are the memories in the thousands of hearts of people whom he touched with his brand of engagement, conversations and love.
