Uncle Tony, this is a very difficult one for especially as I haven't been in touch lately. I guess this is a lesson for me; that is short and we should constantly reach out to our loved ones. I remember, just like yesterday, the summers of 2006 and 2007, I stayed with your family in London and you were very accommodating. Thank you. I pray that God will continue to guide and protect the family and loved ones you have left behind. Rest in perfect peace uncle. Dayo Adeniji

Uncle has only gone somewhere for a while, he will still be with us but not just in the physical. Uncle was kind, very generous and hardworking. Like the way Uncle chills out at parties and always dressed well in his Nigerian attire. One memory to cherish as well is how he sits to eat his African meal especially when he is watching arsenal match. Saw a few times and just depicts an Uncle that is so chilled. I pray you rest in peace and God be with everyone you left.

We received with shock the news of Brother Anthony passing. Words cannot express our deep pain but we have to give thanks to God for making us know him. Bro Anthony was a very generous and supportive person during all of his time in our (his) church. Our hearts and thoughts remain with Mrs Roseline Akjnyemi and the rest of the family. We pray that the God Almighty will comfort the family on every side and fill the vacuum that our brother left behind in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Caroline Babajiide

SisterCaroline and DaddyBabajide. Anthony l can’t express l much l have missed you and will continue to miss you. I don’t know who I can call again to give me brotherly advice, apart from calling you at any time in which you would always answer and l will cherish this forever. Up till now, l still stand sometimes motionless and vacantly thinking about you and finding it difficult to comprehend that you are no more. As l still vividly remember how you talked humbly, calling me to check on me , giving me useful advice on my children who you called your junior ones. I remember calling you last year May for your intervention in my family spending wisely and your advice to the head of the family gave me peace of mind. I remember the respect you gave me as you used to say that your late sister and l share the same year of birth and same name, as a result you never called me by my name only, but always “sister’. I like you , for your humbleness , intergrity, wisdom, unselfish character; hard working, gentleness, not greedy loving and caring attitudes. My husband who you called daddy is missing you dearly, Since l introduced him to you you gave him all the respects, he happened to know your grand father in Ondo town. . He cried loud like a baby when he heard about your passing away, Moreover, he always take your advice on family issues and financial matters, you were such a big influence on him,. We would forever be grateful to you , We are now rest assured that you are resting with the almighty and happy where you are. As l have seen you in my dream dressed smartly as usual smiling to me while consoling me to stop crying. You would continue to rest in the Lord where death has no sting on you any longer. We pray that the Lord the father of the fatherless, the husband of the widow, will comfort your family, heal the wound in their hearts, he will continue to stand by them when they are lonely and lead them the way they should go.. The almighty will also console and comfort mama, will live to fulfil her God given assignment in life and will satisfy her with long life, she would not cry over her children any longer lJMN- amen. We also pray for the entire Akinyemi family, the the good God will console them and raise an helper to step into the vacan position you left.lJMN-amen. Sister -as used to call me and daddy Babajide

Mrs Gladys Izegbe Akinyemi

Tony Akinyemi was my brother-in-law, who I first met in 1981 or there about. Tony was a quiet gentleman, a family man, who worked hard for the family to be successful, unfortunately he did not wait to reap his labour. Tony fought for his life, God knows better. The Lord said, "Come to me all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, I will give you rest." May your soul rest in peace.

Mr. A. Akinyemi

Uncle Yele, This is a difficult lesson for me. You are an uncle who I never really got to express my admiration to, and that will forever be a regret. We must learn to tell people these kind words while they are still here. Countless conversations and words of encouragement will forever remain with me - you always respectfully coached me as a man - to strive to be the best version of myself. My dad's younger brother, you always spoke to me like I was one of your peers, not your nephew. Rest well uncle.
