Alma Williams

Alma was born Alma Gray Salmon February 7, 1944 in Lumberton, NC. She graduated from Lumberton High School in 1962 and was married to a great man in 1963. She married a Purdue University engineering graduate and naval officer, Lieutenant Walter Kent Williams in 1963. After moving to ten different states from California to Connecticut in their first 8 years of marriage, Walter and Alma had three sons during the final days of Walter’s U.S Navy career and his first civilian job as an electrical engineer. Their sons remember Alma as a faithful and patient woman who had a loving but strict nature to encourage them to safely pursue their lifelong goals and passions in life.
