Alan was a very popular and extremely loved member of our club and made many, many friends, as well as meeting his partner, Sue, during his time in the club. He joined in 2006 and has attended every megameet since, along with countless other events. Alan was a huge supporter of the club and served on the committee for a while too. He was always great fun to be around and was extremely generous (especially when it came to bidding on Belgian beer in the megameet auctions!). He will be greatly missed by us all. Our deepest condolences and thoughts are with Sue and the rest of Alan's family.

Alan's is such a huge loss to the community and to us all. A thoroughly lovely man, with the warmest hugs and a brilliant sense of humour, I really enjoyed seeing him at our club meets and beyond. I was delighted when he and Sue found each other and loved seeing how happy they made each other. My heart goes out to Sue and their families at this time xx

We were very saddened to hear this. Although we are not regular attendees of the S2KUK group events, Alan was definitely one of the personalities that stood out at the Megameets we've been to. He came across as a fun person to be around and we regret not spending more time with him. Our thoughts are with Sue and his family.

I shed some tears at this news. Alan was always ready with a smile and laugh, his "joie de vivre" shining through. We had some great times at various Surrey and Herts meets. We also had some great hoons on the Ricky and Druids runs, where he helped with testing out satnav routes and graciously helping out by bringing up the rear and making sure no-one got lost. A true gentleman who will be much missed. My deepest condolences to Suzy.

Such sad news. A Top Gent taken away far too soon. Alan always had time for a chat, laughs and a hug. He loved his Belgian Beers and a wind up whenever possible. We are so lucky to have been able to share his company thanks to our shared love of the S2000. He will be greatly missed. Thoughts are with you Sue and Alan's Family at this very sad time. xx

So very sad to hear the news about Alan. Christine and I first meet Sue and Alan at the 2016 S2K Christmas Party night and soon struck up a friendship. Alan was a lovely man and Sue and Alan made such a lovely couple. Our hearts go out to you Sue at this sad time and if we can ever be of help or if you ever fancy visiting Bournemouth, then we would be happy to be there for you. Stay safe and lots of love.
