Alan gave me my first job - stuffing envelopes for some of the Campbells College mail shots. He regularly shared his love of theatre with me. He encouraged and enabled my love of travel from a young age. He (possibly unknowingly) ensured there was always a computer in our house. There are many more little pieces of my life that have been touched by Alan in some form. Together these pieces have shaped who I am, what I value and what I do. I will miss Alan, and will never forget the impact he has had on my life

I first met Alan as a lecturer back in the mid-80s on revision courses - Moorgate Poly/Kensington Business School - when I was a wet behind the ears ICSA student studying via distance learning (Rapid Results College) and he was the epitome of what any good lecturer should aspire to be - enthusiastic, encouraging and honest - but most importantly he brought Company Law "alive".... which as any Chartered Secretary will know is a major achievement. Thanks Alan. Tracy Reeder
