WJM...As he was known on Ham Radio all over the world, OM Rahul Srivastava is no longer with us, he passed away at 3:10PM on the 15th of September at SGPGI Hospital where he was surrounded by his loved ones who still grieve at his passing. We his friends will also grieve and will his presence always A proud father, a diligent son and a loving husband and what I know of him was a great Amateur Radio operator and a very avid homebrewer, who had a lot of radio design to his credit. He was diagnosed with Advanced Liver Disease this past month, he had been receiving treatment at SGPGI, Lucknow; not only his family, but he, himself was trying his level best to fight against the condition, but in the end, it got the better of him. He was 53, not an age to die, and it feels so untrue that he is no more with us, he was a person of a lot of potential and multitude fields of talents, and he always held electronics dearest to his heart and the amateur radio was core beneficial to his creative ideas and invention Rahul, Rest in peace and will always cherish the association and time spent with you Amateur Radio Friends

I only knew WJM over Facebook. and telephonically on account of a shared interest in ham radio. His warmth, approachability, and sense of humour et him apart. His passing leaves a void that will take getting used to.

Rahul moved to Kansbahal in about 1982 and became a class-fellow. We were in awe of his Lucknawi hindi and his technical mind. He soon had a new name. "Circuit". For his expertise in electronics and deep passion. He went back to Lucknow after we finished school. Those days it was difficult to stay in touch with no email and no mobiles. After many years, we were back in touch. He often used to be in Calcutta for his work and we used to meet. Always a wonderful person. And we used to have the occasional phone call. And it was like we were still in school. Loved his family and loved his work. Today, it feels surreal, unbelievable. One day you were there and we could speak or whatsapp and next day, no Rahul. Not fair Circuit. Gone too soon :'( Wish his family well. Stay strong. We will hold you dear in our thoughts and prayers. Suvendu.

Rahul Bhaiya... Elder brother, a mentor, a friend, tech guru. He was always fond of me. An inspiration that can never be expressed in words. We had so much fun together... can not believe that he has left us at such a young age. No words to are enough to express my feelings and gratitude towards him. He will always be with us as an inspiration. We will miss you Rahul Bhaiya.
