Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) Lagos State Chapter announces the passing of its 4TH Chairman, TPL, Sir Gregory Olaitan Deinde, FNITP (1945 - 2020). He previously served as the 4th National Secretary of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners from 1978 to 1980. TPL, Sir Gregory Olaitan Deinde, FNITP was a fine gentleman, a thoroughbred professional, amiable, humble, sociable and very humorous person. With him, there was never a dull moment. He was a good conversationalist, thoughtful, accommodating and generous. A Christian to the core, who had been knighted twice by the Pope for innumerable service to the Roman Catholic Church. TPL Sir Deinde, FNITP was one of a rare kind. His constant presence at NITP Lagos State Chapter's monthly meetings and other events always serve as a fine example and inspiration to younger members. We will surely miss him wise cracks and his ever-available stock of obi abata orogbo, Tom Tom and other assorted materials at our gatherings. TPL, Sir Gregory Olaitan Deinde, FNITP aka god has run a good race. May his soul rest in the bosom of the Lord. Amen.
