I will always treasure the memories I have of Cikgu Chan Siak Fatt guru Mathematics from F1-F5 year 1968-1972.His dedication....willingness to sacrifice his time during school term holiday conducting extra maths class just to make sure his students is well prepared for the MCE exam. He will be missed by so many students of SMDAS Tanjung Ipoh.

Dear Hon Wei, Deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your dad. You wrote in the memories section that your dad had a kind heart towards strangers. Can see how he has left that legacy on you. May the Lord’s comfort and peace rest upon your hearts.

Uncle Siak Fatt stood straight and tall. He was a principled man who "walked the talk". Uncle was in no way garrulous or verbose, indeed he expressed himself with admirable economy and wit - just like the mathematical equations he taught with quiet passion and dedication. Uncle Siak Fatt was my papa's ( Uncle Saik Poh) "twin". They shared the same eye language and " that" smile which made the world a safer and kinder place. I have been so very lucky to have been a beneficiary of their brotherly devotion. Thank you Uncle Siak Fatt for a sustaining lifetime of love and encouragement. Your tread was gentle but all the more potent in its lasting impact. Rest in peace, Uncle Siak Fatt. Auntie Yuit Lai, Hon Yi, Hon Wei, Hui Hui and family - may your sorrow be greatly comforted by beautiful memories in thanksgiving.
