Sheila Eden

Sheila was an irrepressible and visionary leader who dedicated her life to the improvement of the lives of disabled children. She inspired everyone who was fortunate enough to work with her and the world is a poorer place for her passing. She was selfless and giving making time for people in her professional and personal life. She saw the positive in everyone and took life's challenges on with humour and determination. I and so many will missed her.

Sheila was an amazing woman, a real dynamo and always had patients and families at the centre of everything she did. She was always incredibly professional and a champion for OT in Tower Hamlets. She was never shy in getting her point across and i feel very privileged to have known and worked with her.

I was saddened to hear of Sheila's passing. Sheila was an amazing woman and manager. She helped me develop into the OT I am today. She instilled confidence in her staff, always helping us grow both professionally and personally. I remember she was always looking at more ways to improve children's lives and gaining funding for projects to meet these needs. I loved her chats, stories and laughs. She developed a close knit team and gave me many long life friends. Sheila never forgot you when you moved on from the team and always was happy to keep in touch. Sheila made this world a better place

Sheila was my manager 3 times from OT student to OT assistant and finally to OT. Sheila was an amazing OT and a person who understood her community, her clients and their carers. She was endlessly knowledgable and wise but completely humble, approachable and transparent. Sheila fully supported her staff in their professional lives and never criticised their work, allowing each of us to develop in our skills where needed. Sheila had a huge heart and will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Sheila offered me my first UK job and really welcomed me into the team, making me feel at home despite being miles away from everything I had ever known. Sheila was such a generous and kind person who always saw the best in people, finding and giving opportunities for them to grow, develop and better themselves. Her staff were happy, many making life long friendships and those who moved on have commented Tower Hamlets Children's OT was one of the best teams they've worked in.

Sheila is a role model doe me.Sheila was a loving and empowering manager who went out of her way for me in my work life and personal life ! She has left behind her foot prints in our hearts.She accommodated for all her colleagues and saw now boundaries to achieve success for everyone regardless of our race or ethnicity!

Sheila was 1 in a million. She was an amazingly supportive manager that championed her staff. Her dedication to her team and young people with disabilities was second to none. Her stories always bought a smile to everyone’s face, even when you had heard them several times. Thank you for your friendship, support and for always having my back.

Sheila was a legend! It is because of her that I am where I am today in my career as an OT.....Sheila was more than a manager to us all.....she made us feel like a family and will never be forgotten. Sheila always had time for everyone and was so courageous and brave. Always supported us in work and personal life.
