Ronald Jeffrey Karten

Ronnie K! What a joy it was to know this man who immediately brought me into his family. We shared sailing, wine and trips in Sydney and Oregon. Of course, you always share stories with Ron. I remember his retelling of his naps under his office desk, and taking me wine tasting at 10am upon arrival, against my protest. We had a cracker and he was right. I'd love to be back there right now.

My condolences to you Joe for the passing of your father Ron. I only had the opportunity to meet your father briefly. But you spoke to me about him often, and I felt I had a good sense of him as a father, and as a man. I know that he was proud of you, and all that you have done to raise a beautiful family and to fill tthe world around you with love, humour and a deep sense of social responsibility. I'm going to miss Ron. Not only was he an Uncle, but I can genuinely say that he was also a friend. We had a lot of great conversations together, and I hope wherever he is now, that he's at peace.
