Dear Robyn, I only knew you a short while but I felt you shone from your heart and I looked forward to our shifts together. I felt you were going to be a fantastic nurse and everyone commented on this. I had the huge privilege of working with you at the hospital. From your first day you showed such eagerness to get stuck in! You were so keen to listen and learn and in such a thorough, researched way. You also showed incredible compassion, empathy and a fun, playful nature that children and parents felt instantly at ease with. I know you worked hard outside of nursing too and your work ethic was admirable. Thank you for working so hard and giving so much. You were a very special person. Rest in peace lovely xxx

Dear Robyn, you are and always will be such a much missed part of our nursing student body. You showed such commitment and strength and you would have made such a wonderful children’s nurse. Your kindness will shine on in everyone whose lives you touched. Rest now in peace. Sarah x

Your best friend

Robyn, I cannot believe I am writing this and that you are gone. You were my rock, the most beautiful soul. You kept me going when my confidence wavered, always knowing the right thing to say or do. Having you in my life was the biggest privilege and you were the the kindest person I’ve ever met. I was so proud of everything you achieved, you overcame all the odds in life. You worked so hard, yet was the most selfless person I’ve ever met. I will miss sharing our shenanigan stories, that only the two of us could ever understand. I will miss your hilarious laugh, and your wicked sense of humour. There will forever my a hole in my heart now that your gone. I will forever miss you! You would have been the most incredible paediatric nurse and I’m so sad that I won’t be able to see you graduate. But now your at peace.

Robyn was a gentle, kind and valued member of the nursing cohort. She was passionate about nursing and wanted nothing more than care for others. It won’t be the same not seeing her in classes. She will greatly missed.
