Robert "Bob" Ward, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away Friday, October 20th, 2017. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving husband, father and family man. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Bob had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He was an adventurer who traveled the world with his loving wife. Music, dancing, sports, golf and food were only a few of his passions. We ask for friends and family to share photos and stories celebrating Bob's remarkable life which can be shared during a celebration of his life planned for January 2, 2018.

Bob was a dear, old friend who will be remembered. Bob was one of a set of individuals who, in 1980's, moved Miami Dade County from a hospital based system of mental health services to a community based system for treating behavioral health issues. Bob always approached services in a manner that put the consumer first. Bob also was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor and a warm and friendly wit. He loved his wife and loved and took great pride in his children. He was active in a wide range of public policy issues at the local and state level and worked hard to make Miami Dade and Broward Counties better places to live. He will be missed.
