Tribute to Elder Richard Morka

To My Father, Daddy epitomized focus, discipline and responsibility. I wasn’t close to him but greatly admired him and will also do. He loved education and encouraged us all the way. He FORCED me to Christ, for which I am eternally grateful. Daddy’s legacy was that a good name is better than riches. I commit to upholding this legacy. Adieu Daddy. I miss you dearly. - Didi

Daddy I know I am supposed to but it’s hard. Words fail me. The pages of this book won’t be enough to say it all. A few lines will do no justice to what my heart really wants to say and express. Daddy, you are finally home with the one you love!!!! The one whom you taught us to love as well. Thank you for teaching us and modeling for us as best you could about living for Christ. Because of you, generations after you will be solid soldiers of Christ. Thank you for that legacy!!!! Thank you for showing us strength and teaching us integrity. Pushing us to work towards perfection. Not accepting the mediocre. Though we thought you were the meanest growing up

Tribute to Elder Richard Morka

I remember the first time I meet daddy and how he patiently investigated my past, present and future actions, yet to be designed. After this I was immediately overcome by worry if i had passed my test but fortunately for me daddy made me so comfortable and welcome. The discussions then moved towards the never ending tales of Nigeria on which our points of view always bonded. I was equally fascinated with how he would make time to come every Sunday from church to see the family, I always looked forward to seeing and hearing his encouraging words about family, parenting, life and God almighty, daddy always cherished the love of his grandchildren and the love his family had for him. Daddy was uniquely different from the rest of the family. He was eternally humble, patient, filling with wisdom, and an embodiment of love. Every time I saw him he would ask me how my family and I were doing, he would encourage me to be intentional patient with life and dedicate everything into the hands of the Almighty. He always had a smile on his face and you could tell he loved every member of his family. Daddy had a strong appreciation for the simplest things of life, the arts and languages, wherever the place or situation, unlike many of us who only see challenges through lives journeys. He really cared a lot about his relationship with the almighty, people he met and places he encountered. I will miss you Daddy every day of my life but have no doubt that you are seated in heaven and smiling down on us all. Rest well daddy - Ifeanyi George Olele and family

Dear Grandpa, I miss you so much although I don’t have much to say I still just want to thank you for everything. I remember when I was sad and thought my parents were mean because they punished me but you explained to me that it was for my own good and that the Bible said spare the rod and spoil the child. I also miss all those times that you used to drive me around for joyrides in your car. I love you and I miss you and I will never forget you - Love Tobi Morka ❤️

Grandpa, You came around every few years and when I think about grandpa, I remember all the fun times we had like when we were dancing in the hallway, celebrating his birthday and when we went to the parks. I also remember grandpa taking me to school, coming for our music and art show and our time on the boat cruise. I will miss little things like saying good morning and good night. I will miss grandpa but he is in a happier place and someday, I will see him again. - Omolefe and Idode Oleghe.
