Phil Jones

As said before Phil was a legend. His friends at Smallcombe found his intelligence was far beyond our understanding. I’m pleased to have had the opportunity of working with Phil and I know Aunty Pat wanted me to look after him!!! He proved a challenge at times with his communication but always made me smile with his automatic reply of “fair doo’s” !!!! Such a kind big hearted chap who always referred to me as his “Cous”. So Phil from your “Cous” you’ll always be remembered from all cousins love Hilary

A much loved cousin who died too soon. Lovely memories of Christmas past when we fought to have Phil in our quiz team knowing we would stand a better chance of winning.

Sadly, i didn’t know Phil but from the Brilliant Eulogy given by Bob, I know we would have got on well. I have a small confession to make - Before the service I put my phone to Silent, Flight Mode and everything else but during service from the inside pocket of my jacket came a voice saying “You have reached your final destination!” I hope no one heard and I apologise but Wendy has assured that Phil would have been amused.

I have many fond memories of us all getting together and can still clearly see in my mind’s eye, Phil and Bryce always deep in conversation about sport! Phil was a truly gentle man. Mary xxx
