Peter was a generous and loving father, brother, grandfather and friend. Tenacious and energetic throughout most of his life, Peter's out-going personality, compassion for others, warmth and character brought him admiration and respect wherever he went. A raconteur with a wicked sense of humour, Peter's life has been rich and full and he enjoyed sharing the tales of his adventures with us all. We will miss him so much.

To: Mandy, Merrill, and Gill I want to sing the praises of your father and my brother-in-law, the greatly admired Uncle Peter. To my sons, Chris and Peter, he was their hero and larger than life (A pilot in the RAF in WW II and executive in Shell). Each summer when we traveled from Texas to London, they could not wait to see their beloved uncle. He taught them to ride a motorbike and many other skills. We loved him taking us to all sorts of events like Andrew Lloyd Weber Musicals, the Leamington Club to see the Gorkas from India, the Grand Prix, and so much more. We all went to the opening of Epcot in Orlando, Florida on New Years Eve and that was an experience of a lifetime! So many fantastic memories! He will be missed by all of us. To come close to describing Grandfather Sheen, would be to describe him as a wonderful mix of Sinatra style, class and charm, combined with the dangerous coolness, adventurous and devil may care embodiment of Steve McQueen. His jet setting, James Bond style life story, balanced perfectly with his love and adoring devotion to his family. I will forever miss his humour, wisdom, endless amazing stories, life advice and his friendship. A true bench mark on how to lead the most fulfilling life and to do it by your own terms. Thank you for being one of my true life compass bearings. Journey on well.

It’s impossible to summarise a man in a few words and I can only imagine those glory days of motorcycling - of Peter speeding through the British rural landscape, the Côte d’Azur and Californian desert - stories he told, bringing back all his travel so vividly to me. He was the warmest and funniest man, a raconteur who exuded a genteel old-world charm. A kind and caring man, he raised his three daughters to be just that too: loving, caring and generous - just as he was. Thank you for that Peter
