My Father was a retired army personnel with the ethics of army deeply engrained, which included discipline and a vibrant, social life. He was a true -blue patriarch with a generous heart, straightforward in his words. He lived a wonderful fun filled life with immense zest and passion. He was a self respecting man who believed in giving than taking from his children. So, he truly was the gentleman and an officer with exemplary ethics and moral values of the Elder in the family. He will be sorely missed for his presence amidst all his loved ones and friends.

Om uncle's persona will be dearly missed by all of us. His energy levels, frankness and sense of humour in any conversation was such that you would want to sit back and listen to. He always spoke with wisdom and clarity that was easy to follow.

Uncle Om left us with fond memories. He faced numerous health challenges with grace, humor, and resilience. His sharp mind, positive attitude, practical solutions and wisdom made every moment spent with him a pleasure. Amongst his cherished memories he has left behind a legacy of acceptance and a cheerful spirit, which will continue to provide us with a lesson for difficult times.

Om uncle was indeed a very kind and practical man who helped everyone around him. He was instrumental in my journey to the UK and without his help I would not have made it here. He will live in my memories also as a very jovial and straight talking man. I recall many stories from his military life which are a testament to his character. His presence will be missed forever amongst those whose life he touched.
